Belts, sandals, bags and mounts, all embroidered with pita are some articles that just over 20 artisans colotlenses shown in the exhibition and sale of piteado and harness in the framework of the National Fair Piteado. The colotlenses and visitors can craft know that the municipality is done and that gives its name to World Capital Colotlán as Piteado.
" We have a variety of items for different tastes, ages, what steps using: pita sandals, earrings, frames, belts. We are about 22 shops who participate in the exhibition and sale where you can see all kinds of items that can be done and see the magic cast leather with pita "said Miguel Gonzalez, artisan and organizer of the show.
The leather artisan responsible for the expo this year said the piteado has been declining, hence the importance to implement activities to promote crafts and publicize the quality of these items. He also mentioned that the main visitors who have are of the nearby towns of northern Jalisco and a few others who live in the United States.
Expo pita handcrafted items will be open until May 8 at the end of the show colotlense.
